Trump and Republicans continue with lies about the amount of money spent by the US supporting Ukraine fighting against Russia and never mentions how much of the weaponry produced is in the United States, namely Arkansas, Arizona, Alabama, Florida and Pennsylvania.

Here are the facts.

Total Appropriations: Congress has appropriated approximately $175 billion for Ukraine-related efforts. Of this, around $120 billion directly supported Ukraine, encompassing military assistance, budgetary support, and humanitarian aid.

Military Assistance: Approximately $67.3 billion has been allocated for military support, including weapons, training and logistics.

Budgetary Support: Around $49 billion has been provided to bolster Ukraine’s government functions and economic stability.

Humanitarian Aid: About $3.6 billion has been directed toward humanitarian efforts, addressing the needs of displaced populations and essential services.

In response to the heightened demand from the conflict, the U.S. defense industry has significantly ramped up weapons production:

155mm Artillery Shells:
The Scranton Army Ammunition Plant in Pennsylvania, a key facility for producing 155mm artillery shells, has increased its output. Production has risen to over 40,000 rounds per month, with plans to further escalate to 100,000 rounds monthly.

Javelin Anti-Tank Missiles:
The U.S. has invested heavily in replenishing and expanding its stockpile of Javelin missiles. A notable $1.3 billion contract was awarded to Lockheed Martin, aiming to boost production from 2,400 units annually to 3,960 by 2026. Lockheed Martin, in partnership with Raytheon Technologies, produces the FGM-148 Javelin missile through the Javelin Joint Venture (JJV).

The primary production facilities involved in the Javelin’s manufacturing are:
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control – Orlando, Florida: – This facility is responsible for producing the missile’s seeker and general electronics components, as well as integrating the missile systems.
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control – Troy, Alabama: – The Troy facility handles the final assembly of various missile systems, including the Javelin.
Raytheon Missiles & Defense – Tucson, Arizona: – Raytheon’s Tucson facility manufactures the Command Launch Unit (CLU), the missile’s control electronics, and software components.
GMLRS Rocket Motors: Aerojet Rocketdyne, a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies, has doubled its production of motors for Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (GMLRS) rockets.
Aerojet Rocketdyne manufactures motors for the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) across several U.S. facilities:
Camden, Arkansas: – This site is a central hub for solid rocket motor production.

In February 2025, Aerojet Rocketdyne initiated the construction of four new production facilities to enhance manufacturing capacity for GMLRS motors and other defense systems.

Huntsville, Alabama: – The Huntsville operations focus on producing inert components of solid rocket motors, such as cases and nozzles. To support increased demand, Aerojet Rocketdyne expanded its facilities by leasing a 379,000-square-foot manufacturing space in the Jetplex Industrial Park, augmenting its existing Advanced Manufacturing Facility.
Orange County, Virginia: – This location specializes in manufacturing small solid rocket motors. To optimize production, Aerojet Rocketdyne transitioned the manufacturing of Javelin and Stinger propulsion systems from Camden to Orange County, allowing the Camden site to concentrate on medium and large motor production.
